OA Day

As usual, Wednesday here at Camp Mountain Run is OA Day. OA stands for Order of the Arrow. It is an elite service organization spun out from Boy Scouting. They are a youth run organization who largest responsibility is to service camp. They also have various groups within its charter as well, The Dance Team, Ceremonies Team, Drummers, etc.

Every week, each troop runs an election to vote in eligible scouters, youth and adult alike. The Wednesday that the Troop is at camp, they have a "Tap Out" Ceremony to induct potential members into the lodge. The lodge that serves Bucktail Council and Camp Mountain Run is Ah'Tic Lodge #139. Ah'Tic has a very long and proud history with not only Camp Mountain Run, but nationally as well. For more information, visit http://www.oa.bucktail.org/index.htm
